Exploring Reconfiguration-Assisted Optimization Framework to Digital Power Supply System

There is a growing interest around the world in supplying information and communications technologies (ICT) with digitalization energy to achieve fine-grained energy management for sustainable ICT. One of the most challenging topics is how to design a reliable and efficient digital power supply (DPS) system based on cyber- physical technology, which consists of physical power converter part, energy digitalization part and energy buffer matching part. Motivated by this open issue, we provide a theoretical basis for modeling and key designing metric to analyze the DPS system both for the 5G network and data center deployment in this paper. Firstly, we proposed an integrated reconfiguration-assisted converter optimization framework for DPS. Secondly, to achieve a much finer resolution of information and power flow, the dynamics of the reconfiguration is abstracted by the graph-based representation model mathematically. Finally, through prototype deployment, those design metrics are illustrated vividly under different implement scenario for 5G network and data center, which can also be further applied with renewable energy generation for green communications and data centers.
