Frequency-selected Adaptive Matched Filter Denoising for Photoacoustic Imaging

摘要In photoacoustic imaging (PAI), due to the low efficiency of light to sound conversion, external interferences such as environmental noise, and low-energy laser in cost-effective systems, the detected PA signal is normally quite weak and easily overwhelmed by background noise, resulting in considerable artifacts and distortion. The quality of PAI are greatly influenced by the effectiveness of denoising algorithms. Therefore, extracting accurate tissue information from high background noise to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of photoacoustic images is one of the key challenges for enhancing the resolution and image contrast of PAI. © 2023 IEEE.
