摘要 | Even to this day, limited studies have suggested a relationship between testosterone and SUA. The results of them are also controversial. In order to better understand this potential relationship, we looked into adult males in the United States. Data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2013-2016 were gathered, containing 1919 adult male participants aged 18-64 years with required data existing. A summary of all useful participants' characteristics among different SUA groups is conducted. We also used simple and multiple linear regression model to explore the relationship. Finally, we discovered that testosterone and SUA had a negative relationship. In the multiple regression model, we discovered that increasing uric acid, age, BMI, ALT, hypertension, diabetes and HOMA-IR were related to decreasing serum testosterone in males aged 18-64 years in the US. © 2023 SPIE. |
