摘要	Information system is the cornerstone of the digital transformation of social management and economic development, which is building up on energy consumption. With the fast-paced social-economic transformation, the sustainability of information system has been more and more crucial. In this article, based on the fundamental relations among" Mass-Information-Energy", we have discussed the status quo of energy consumption of information system, the intrinsic relation between information and energy, the fundamentals of information system energy consumption. Then, we have proposed a new point of stand: ICT (information and communication technology) system should be regarded as a new kind of "digital power grid" and the ability of computing load scheduling is a new kind of "power generation". This new perspective will enable us to fulfill the sustainability of information system and the stability of traditional power grid, providing design insight to how to build the future high resilient power grid. © 2021 Chin.
